TERMS & CONDITIONS - THE BASICS
I agree that Aberdeen K9 Groom will not be held liable or responsible for irritation, abrasion, patchiness or hair loss due to any pre-existing skin condition or as a result of the process of grooming, de-matting, thinning, stripping or shaving, or any mishap caused by my non-disclosure of my pet’s medical condition or behaviour. If Aberdeen K9 Groom feels it necessary to shave off my pet(s) fur because of a badly maintained coat, I will not hold them responsible for any irritation or clipper rash that occurs.
Behavioural charges will be decided by Aberdeen K9 Groom depending on the severity of the behaviour and the time, skill, and equipment required to groom the dog. We reserve the right to refuse service if we believe your dog may become a danger to itself or those within the salon. In the event any of these behaviours present during the groom the session may stopped at anytime and the full fee incurred.
Health or Medical Problems & Elderly Dogs

Fleas/Ticks
Aberdeen K9 Groom strives to be a flea/tick-free environment. If your dog has a flea or tick infestation we will ask that you reschedule your grooming appointment once the flea or tick problem is under control. Dogs with a flea or tick infestation carry a risk of anaemia, infections, tapeworms and other health problems. We recommend that you contact your veterinarian for advice on the best treatment for your situation. A topical monthly flea preventative may be the most effective choice. Treating all pets in the family, as well as treating your home will help in keeping fleas and ticks under control for the long term. If fleas are found on your dog we will bathe your dog in a flea shampoo and we will have to require additional disinfecting of our premises , this will incur a £30 charge on your grooming bill. If its a heavy infestation or we notice at check in it will result in refusal till dog is clear of parasites.
Accidents
There is always the possibility an accident could occur. Grooming equipment is sharp, even though we use extreme caution and care in all situations. Possible problems that could occur include cuts, nicks, scratches and quickening of the nails. In most cases this can happen when a dog is wiggling or moving around. We make every effort to ensure your dog is groomed as safely as possible, but if your dog does not accept the process it can be dangerous to continue, Aberdeen K9 Groom has the right to stop the groom at any time.
Aggression
Owners have the obligation to inform Aberdeen K9 Groom of any known aggressive behaviour traits their pet may have to other animals or humans. Specifically, the owner must inform if they have been advised by pervious groomer(s) of any of the aforementioned behaviours.
Nervous/Anxious Dogs
Although Aberdeen K9 Groom caters to dogs with nervous traits, owners have the obligation to inform us of any such behaviours in order for us to cater to their needs to the best of our ability.
